What a typical engagement looks like

Steele Solutions launched in 2024 and public reviews accumulate as engagements complete. While the public review wall fills out, here are the engagement profiles that describe the work itself.

The most common engagement: free audit → processor switch

A Branson-area restaurant doing $80K/month in card volume sends in their last three months of statements. The audit shows their tiered pricing is running an effective rate of 3.4%, of which roughly 0.6% is markup above interchange. Interchange-plus quotes from two of our processor partners come back at an effective rate of 2.85% and 2.78%. Monthly savings: $480-$520. Annual: $5,800-$6,200. We pick the better-fit processor (terminal options, support quality, integration to their POS). Cutover happens on a Wednesday morning in under five minutes of customer-visible activity. The relationship continues with an annual review call.

The atypical engagement: "we just need a sanity check"

A commercial property owner in Springfield sends a statement from their existing processor. The audit shows the pricing is actually fair — effective rate 2.6%, markup 0.18%. The recommendation is to stay where you are. The audit is sent back with the explanation in plain English. No follow-up sales push. The relationship may resurface later for cost segregation on a different property.

The combined engagement: processing + POS + ATM

A lake-area marina with a $200K-$500K seasonal swing wants the whole stack done at once. We coordinate POS hardware (marina-grade, multi-station, fuel-pump integration), interchange-plus card processing, and a free ATM placement at the bait shop. Timeline runs 4-6 weeks from first call to all three live. Kim handles the install logistics; Jim handles the processor side.

The cost-seg-led engagement

A small portfolio of three commercial properties (two retail strips, one mixed-use) totaling $3.8M basis comes to us via referral. CSSI engineering team performs the studies. Combined reclassification accelerates roughly $900K of basis into 5- and 15-year categories. Federal tax acceleration in years 1-5 is in the mid-six-figure range. Client's CPA incorporates the results into the tax returns. Engagement completes in roughly 10 weeks.

How we collect public reviews

Thirty days after go-live we send a short note asking if the transition matched expectations. Annually we send a follow-up. Reviews on this page are voluntary and posted only with merchant permission. We never trade a discount for a review.
